Well, I am braking a promisse I made to myself to be out of the paths for a couple of months to fully recover after 2 full marathons withing 2 weeks in between. My first run after the Marines marathon was last Wednesday when I joined Marc at the Salt Creek path (near my house) for a 6 mile run. We met at 4:30 pm and it was just an ugly day; cold, dump, and dark. By the time we turned around to make our way back it was pitch dark; almost to the point of not be able to distinguish another runner of a walking person passing by. Very scary indeed!
I guess it was a welcome to running on winter time!
On Saturday, I met Helen at the Prairie Path for our long run at 7am. Oh my God! it was a very cold morning!! boy I hate winters! but what to do? as a "Crazy Runner" you will venture out on a cold morning even though you are not on a "training mode" yet. Well, that's my case. After a few miles it was not so bad after all. It was also nice to share a few hours on the path with Helen who by the way is running the famous "Goofy" marathon which means that she will be running half on Saturday and full on Sunday. That's my girl! I am so proud of her! and I am the one being called crazy.
